TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Thailand has been crowned as the world's number one country for food, according to Condé Nast Traveller's Readers' Choice Awards. The country scored 98.33 points out of 100, surpassing Italy and Japan in second and third place.
The ranking was announced on October 7, 2025. Conde Nast Traveller wrote that there are many reasons why this title is fitting for the Land of the White Elephant. Seven Bangkok restaurants made it to the top 35 of the World's Best Restaurants this year. The country also boasts regional diversity, with each destination offering unique flavors. The bustling night markets also make tasting their endless variety of food an experience like no other.
"Thailand has mastered the art of delivering mouth-watering cuisine with minimal fuss, and whether you're a fan of Thai food or not, the heart-warming bowls of noodles, curries, and soups are sure to win you over, especially when served by a friendly local," the magazine stated.
